A sturdy yet precisely finished marine grade stainless steel case houses a Japanese retrograde split time chronograph that sits under the dial. The angled off squared shape echoes the key pieces of the Hunter's own instrumentation, the reference to the famed military jet that first flew in service for the RAF in the early 1950s. The dial is a perfectly designed assembly of indentations, tension rings and carefully positioned sub-dial frames. Complementing the dial features are piston like pushers that continue the look and feel of this watch as a piece of military instrumentation. The Hawker Harrier “Jump Jet” found service across several air and naval air forces during the latter half of the 20th Century. It represented a breakthrough in aviation design and went on to serve many missions with distinction. To pay tribute to the variants of this famed jet, AVI-8 introduced the latest version of its Harrier chronograph family inspired by the planes that flew for the Spanish Navy, nicknamed the “Matador”. In full timing operation, the Matador comes alive with a whirring of hands and wheels that create a dynamic experience not unlike that of a Harrier in full flight.
At first glance the Matador is a complex jigsaw of gears and wheels, which are precisely layered on top of each other as a dynamically designed piece of aviation inspired timing instrumentation. The sturdy case measures 44mm in diameter with a carved caseback that echoes the turbine blades of the Rolls Royce Pegasus engine inside the Harrier. A hardened mineral convex lens with anti-reflective coating frames the mechanics underneath resting on the case bezel perfectly.Each detail of the case has been carefully considered and exhibits a thought to the use and wear of the timepiece. From the beveled chamfered edge bezel to the crown guard and piston like pushers, the case is complete as a suitable shell from which the watch may perform fully. The dial itself is crowned with a “Grande Date” double aperture date display. Each frame for each digit has been carefully beveled and sits above an interlocking design of gears and wheels, giving a peek and the inner mechanics of the movement.No detail has been left unconsidered. At the 3’oclock position, the re-engineered movement now features a disc display capable of a remarkable 1/20 of a second split time measurement. With chronograph seconds and minute read out, the Matador is a comprehensive timing device. Time read out is executed via legible luminous hands and facetted indexes. Strapping the watch to the wrist, the fit is comfortable and snug courtesy of well-engineered lugs and a supple leather strap with military influenced cross-stitch designed for easy wear and maintenance.

Inspired by an American hero, the Hitchcock Automatic pays tribute to the Lafayette Escadrille member and national polo champion who directly influenced the development of the P-51 Mustang during WWII.
The Hitchcock Automatic is built from our iconic 43mm P-51 Mustang inspired case, featuring a crown guard echoing the engine exhaust of the aircraft. With a beautifully contoured shape, it has been designed to look and feel comfortable.
Drawn from both the cockpit and body of the P-51 Mustang, the Hitchcock's multilayered dial blends modern watchmaking sophistication with vintage aviation elements to create a clear and legible dial.
Powering the Hitchcock is the ever-reliable and accurate NH35 self-winding movement. In a tribute to Hitchcock's heroics outside the cockpit, the case back features the words "Ten Goal Tommy," referencing his 10-goal handicap in polo.

The Hawker Hurricane Carey Dual Time takes its inspiration from Frank Carey, a fighter ace who began his RAF career at the age of just 15 and ended as one of the most decorated pilots to have ever served. His final tally of 25 confirmed victories is all the more remarkable as it was accomplished across both Europe and Asia.
Nodding to the global exploits of Carey, each timepiece is named after a location he was stationed at during his esteemed career with the RAF.
